Contra las Cuerdas has been the result of the work in a day and half of recording playing all musicians at the same time, like old times. Fernando and Dave have tried a nead and varied selection of repertoire, offering different styles from medium tempo swing, jazz waltz, bossa nova, minor blues ("The Hustler in duo"), an interesting Summertime version by Gershwin of a bar in 5/4 and two harmonized solo pieces "The night has a thousand eyes" (Fernando) y "Moon light in Vermont" (Dave).

With the exception of the latter two pieces, obviously, in the rest, both guitars converse in a fluid dialogue, sometimes quiet, other passionate. Two different accents for the same language, the lenguage of good music.

This gathering takes on the environment that creates an excellent armonic and rhythmic base that Luis Llario (contrabass) and Felipe Cucciardi (baterie) provides. They are two consolidated musicians from spanish jazz and usual collaborators of guitarists duo, also appearing on Plectrology.

Ultimately, this record offers a good menu of delicacies to savor with delight.
