Fabio Miano New York Quintet is the final result of a succesful tour of different Spanish cities the band made in April of 2008, but as with almost all good records, it has more solid roots.

Miano, Stewart and Rotondi have been friends and collaborators for many years. The pianist has been the preferred accompanist of both on their numerous visits to Spain and with Stewart he recorded "Buen rollo" in 1999 for the Fresh Sound label. Although Miano hadn't performed as often with them, Webber and Farnsworth were a natural choice because of their musical affinity and excellent artistry.

The listener holds the sensation of having been part of an encounter of old friends that know the secret of jazz and enjoy sharing it.
